We are Barbara & John Torrence. Since 1996, we have been operating A Stitch Above Custom Embroidery with the mission to provide our customers the best quality product and service possible.
First, a little history. Most embroidery shops HATE making tablecloths. There is just no way to keep a large design straight and true using standard embroidery techniques. In addition, it takes hours to create a single tablecloth, so it is difficult to make any money doing it. Unfortunately, one of our customers REALLY REALLY wanted an embroidered table drape, so we decided to figure out how to do it right.
Ten years and many prototypes later, we now have a system that creates beautifully embroidered table drapes and banners. We believe our techniques and our products are unique, and we further believe that you will be proud to display these items as an extension of your own attention to quality.
As technology has developed over the years, we adapted our business model from a local shop to an internet site, packed our bags and moved to Maui, where we built our dream home and attached workshop. From here, we have developed a growing audience of customers throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and Japan.
We rise early to serve the needs of our US "mainland" customers. The best time to call us is between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM Eastern time (8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific time.)
